Dr. Evans is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner & Geriatric Nurse Practitioner, U.S. Army Veteran, Certified TMS Provider, & Buprenorphine Provider.
Dr. Evans began her nursing career as a Licensed Practical Nurse in 1993 while serving her country in the U.S. Army FOR 8-YEARS.
She has been providing safe and effective patient care for more than 27 yea provided excellent care to patients in various settings to include, Oncology, Medical/Surgical, ICU, Orthopedics, Emergency Room, Urology, Radiation Oncology, Hospice, Adolescent Psychiatric Units, and in Nursing Homes.
She then went on to pursue an Associate's Degree in Nursing as a Registered Nurse at Pearl River Community College. In 2005, she completed her BSN at the University of Phoenix. She then went on to complete her Master's of Science in Nursing at the University of South Alabama in 2009 as a Psychiatric NP. In 2010, I completed a Post-Master's Certificate to become a Gerontological NP. I then pursued my Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in 2015. Then in 2017, I completed certification for Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation Therapy (TMS) at the Medical University of South Carolina.
